Ayurveda is India’s ancient medicinal practice. Similar to the practice of yoga, it is focused around prevention and well-being to promote superior health. Join certified Iyengar teacher, Jessie Holland for this Introduction to the basic traditions of Ayurveda.

 

In this first session, you will learn about the doshas, or “constitutions”, the simple principles to help you tune into your own individual constitution. This will provide you with the tools to learn how to live more harmoniously with the environment around you.

 

This class will be an interactive lecture style, come dressed to sit comfortably.

Ayurveda, Indian’s ancient medicinal science, offers many routines that will help you achieve optimal health while honoring your connection to nature. ​Baja Yoga Retreat
October 29-November 3, 2020

 

Join Iyengar-certified instructor Jessie Holland for a yoga escape on the warm idyllic shore of the Sea of Cortez.  Rejuvenate the body and calm the mind in twice-daily sessions harmonized by the rhythm of waves.  Each day begins with an invigorating class in the pristine light and air of an oceanside morning, and ends with a restorative practice and pranayama breathing as the setting sun paints the horizon in celestial pinks and greens.  In between, there's plenty of time for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, windsurfing, kiteboarding, mountain-biking, fishing, whale watching, and socializing.  Yoga sessions are held in the same spacious, modernly-appointed beachfront house that participants call home during their stay, and three healthy, Mexican-inspired meals are prepared fresh daily by a private cook.  Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine consultations and treatment are also available.
